Under the slogan: ‘From hand to hand, the Eid gift will be bigger and bigger’

Amman, August 2010 – On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and with Umniah’s support, Zaha Cultural Center and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) launched an Eid gift campaign under the slogan: ‘From hand to hand, the Eid gift will be bigger and bigger’. The campaign also involved the collaboration of Interactev Marketing and the Royal Automobile Museum.
The Eid gift campaign, which is being launched for the third consecutive year, aims to promote social unity and solidarity among different social segments by gathering and delivering the largest possible number of gift donations that might be of use to underprivileged families.
Commenting on Umniah’s participation in this campaign, Mr. Ihab Hinnawi, CEO of Umniah, said: "We are pleased to be part of this charity campaign, which calls for greater solidarity within the community and greater empathy towards others. It is this sense of belonging that we seek to strengthen in the hearts of fellow community members in order to establish a balanced and egalitarian society that offers equal opportunities for all."
Donated gifts are gathered through collection boxes available in most malls (City Mall, Mecca Mall, Baraka Mall, Abdoun Mall, Hashimi Plaza Mall, Sweifieh Mall and Istiklal Mall) and at vital areas like Rainbow Street, Wakalat Street, the Royal Automobile Museum and Zaha Cultural Center. Collection boxes have also been set up in Umniah’s main company premises and its showrooms located in Shmeisani, Garden Street and the Medina Street. It is worth noting that in addition to the collection boxes, weekly Iftar banquets are held for orphans and the underprivileged, as well as Ramadan events every Friday.
