Aramex breaks its record at the 12th Dead to Red Ultra Marathon

Amman, March 2009 – Building on the success it achieved last year, Aramex's team of runners set a new record at the 12th relay Dead to Red Ultra Marathon, which was sponsored by Aramex and launched under the slogan of "Run for Health". The Marathon covered 242km, starting from the Dead Sea coast near Mujib Bridge and ending at the Radisson SAS Hotel located in Aqaba's southern coast.
With this latest achievement, the Aramex team topped last year's record time of 15hrs 38mins, achieving a new record of 14hrs 57mins 32secs, wherein its runners were up against 153 participants from 16 teams. The bike race was held the next day and included 94 solo cyclists from 23 teams.
Aramex's winning team comprises of its international veteran runners, Salameh Al Aqra' and Mohammad Sweiti; Aramex employees Raji Hattar, Lina Shehadeh, and Mohammad Shahin, and a number of volunteers: Mohammad Asha, Muath Al Khawaldeh, Osama Qattan, Fahed Al Shu’aibi, and Mohammad Saeed.
