Amman, April 2009 – Adidas has launched a campaign offering Jordan’s football enthusiasts the chance to win a trip to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) Finals, to be held in Rome on May 27th, 2009. From March 19th – April 30th, the Adidas PLAY BETTER campaign is running at all Adidas stores across the region with a chance to win the tickets plus runner up prizes comprising of Adidas football boots and Adidas Official UEFA Champion’s League Finale 8 Match Balls.
Within Adidas football there are three product segmentations: Predator, F50 and Pure, with each designed to meet differing playing styles such as powerful, artistic or elegant. The Adidas PLAY BETTER campaign works as follows: for every purchase of any football product (boots/apparels) from the Adidas Predator, F50, or adiPure range, a special code card is received. This code is then input into the www.adidas.ae/football micro-site to enter into the prize draw. Alongside the star prize of a trip to Rome, runner up prizes are comprised of 30 pairs of top of the range Adidas football boots and 100 Adidas Official UEFA Champions League Finale 8 Match Balls.

The 2009 UEFA Champions League Final will be the 54th final of the UEFA Champions League football tournament and the 17th final under the current format. The final will be played at the 72,698 capacity Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the home of A.S. Roma and S.S. Lazio, on May 27th, 2009, for the fourth time following 1977, 1984 and 1996. The current holders of the trophy are Manchester United of the English Premier League.
Entry into the Adidas PLAY BETTER campaign is via Adidas stores throughout the country. Closing date for entries is April 30, 2009.
