For the 2nd consecutive year

Amman, June 2009 – As part of its ongoing programs dedicated to supporting youth activities and elevating the standard of sports in the Kingdom, Umniah – the fastest growing telecom service provider in Jordan – announced the renewal of its agreement with the Al Riyadi Basketball Club for the second consecutive year, placing Umniah as a sponsor of the Club's basketball youth teams which comprise of approximately 400 male and female players between the ages of 5 and 15, and an exclusive sponsor of four of these teams.
In accordance with the agreement, Umniah will sponsor a number of activities and events that the Club organizes and participates in, such as local basketball championships for both males and females between the ages of 15, 13, and under, as well as the Al Riyadi Super League for Kids, the annual picnic the Club organizes for its members and teams, the Open Basketball Day, the Minibasket Travel Teams, and the Mini-Basket Fair in which a group of Arab and foreign teams participate in. In addition, Umniah will offer training courses for basketball coaches held by an international and well-known lecturer, and will hold a private school tournament in Amman entitled the "Umniah Back to School Basketball Tournament".
