In continuation of its expansion plans that target all segments of society

Amman, August 2009 – In continuation of its adopted strategy to enhance its presence in different locations across the Kingdom and in order to strengthen the level of its services to all its customers both individuals and companies alike, Capital Bank announced that it will be opening 6 new branches in key locations across the Kingdom. These locations include Marj Al-Hamam, Al-Hurria Street, Majdi Mall, Dahiyat Al-Yasmeen, Al Gardens Street and Zarqa Al-Jadidah.
These branches will be added to Capital Bank's existing network of 12 branches that include Shmeisani (main branch and Shmeisani branch), Madina Munawara Street, Sweifieh, Dabouq, Al-Wihdat, Bayader Wadi Al-Seer, in addition to a branch in Zarqa, the Free Zone in Zarqa, Irbid and two branches in Aqaba.
Commenting on this step, Mr. Haytham Kamhiyah, Capital Bank's General Manager, said: "This increase in the number of branches confirms our commitment to continuing our expansion plans for both Capital Bank and its products in order to cater to all segments of Jordanian society. The opening of the 6 new branches will enhance our position in the Jordanian market in order to implement Capital Bank's ambitious plans to serve our customers wherever they are in Jordan, and in order to serve our objectives in attracting new customers to provide them with a comprehensive set of banking and investment services."
It is also worth noting that the bank is working toward increasing the number of its ATM machines, which will reach 20 towards the end of this year, distributed in key commercial centers in different parts of the Kingdom; whereby 4 new ATM machines were recently established in Mecca Mall, City Mall, Majdi Mall and Alahlia Plaza Superstores.
Capital Bank recently announced that its expansion plans for this year include the opening of a number of additional branches to reach around 20 branches by the end of the year. The bank also announced its plans to begin serving its customers and operating in its new main building during the beginning of next year.
It is also worth mentioning that Capital Bank has selected the Swiss company Temenos which specializes in providing integrated core banking systems, to support its expansion plans and develop the retail banking market specifically. The cooperation will result in the launch of the T24 model bank, one of the most modernized international banking systems, that Capital Bank will be using for the first time in Jordan, in order to improve the banking infrastructure of all its branches and improve the level of technology that is being used.
