Royal Mansour Marrakech Opens 2009

Royal Mansour, Marrakech will redefine the gold standard of luxury hotels when it opens its doors for the first time in December 2009. It will take exclusivity, luxury and privacy to a level not seen before, offering an extraordinary array of spacious, opulent riads in the heart of one of the world’s most exotic cities.

The ground breaking, distinctive and ingenious hotel design is exemplified by a labyrinthine series of underground tunnels to each of the 53 riads. They are accessed only by staff, thus guaranteeing the utmost privacy, discretion and seclusion satisfying even the most high profile of guests.

The spectacular attention to detail from the hand crafted decor and furnishings to the extraordinary facilities will ensure Royal Mansour, Marrakech rivals the world’s finest hotels and attracts the most discerning clientele. The carefully selected staff has been trained to the highest standard by those who train staff for Royal Households, creating the atmosphere of a palace. Experts in their field have been employed from all corners of the world, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and cultural diversity.
Its meticulous design authentically represents the classic forms of the traditional medina, comprising one to four bedroom riads, restaurants and spa arranged around the main reception building with its striking lobby, dining bar, lounges and library. Wherever possible, local artisans and designers have been employed to maximise the traditional Moroccan ambience of the hotel, right down to the uniforms which have been designed by a Moroccan born fashion designer.

Set in 3.5 hectares of manicured gardens, Royal Mansour Marrakech is conveniently located within the medina and just 15 minutes from Marrakech Menara International Airport. The individual riads will all feature private courtyards, fountains, and plunge pools as well as the most luxurious Moroccan furnishings and Wi-fi, providing guests with the utmost comfort. The rooms will all be arranged around a central open-air courtyard space with all ground floors featuring an outdoor patio, living room, bar and lobby. The larger riads will also boast galleries and dining rooms with bars. Overlooking the central courtyard will be the beautifully appointed bedrooms, dressing rooms and contemporary bathrooms. Each riad has its own exclusive roof terrace offering magnificent views of the city or Atlas Mountains.

Additional features will be 24-hour room service; 24-hour valet & maid service and 24-hour butler service, ensuring exceptional levels of service are met. Other facilities include two swimming pools, a children’s club, Wi-Fi in all public areas and an art gallery.

Royal Mansour, Marrakech will not fail to delight the most sophisticated of pallets with its gastronomic offerings. Marrakech has arguably one of the most exotic cuisines in the world and this will be portrayed in the hotel’s restaurants. Under the supervision of Yannick Alleno, the celebrated Michelin three-star chef from Paris, there are two main restaurants offering traditional Moroccan and gourmet cuisine. However, if guests prefer, they may dine in the privacy of their riad, either inside or under a star lit sky on their roof terrace.

The 2500m2 spa will have its own separate private entrance and driveway and will offer guests a range of spa treatments arranged as phases moving through the building. At centre stage is the Hammam, complete with hot rooms, mild rooms and cold rooms, created with combinations of light, steam and water.
