Amman, December 2009 – Visa, the world’s leading payment network, announced that six people from Jordan have won prizes from the "Swipe, Win, Fly" campaign which was launched last July. The six winners were selected in a draw at the end of the six-week campaign that aimed at encouraging Visa cardholders to use their Visa Electron cards at merchant locations for any of their purchases during the selected dates of the summer campaign.

Each cardholder billed three times on his/her Visa Electron card between July 1st to August 15th, was automatically entitled to enter the prize draw. Each of the winners will get a five-day fully paid trip for a family of four people, to one of the four pre-selected destinations (Lebanon, Egypt, UAE, and Jordan), including accommodation at a 5-star resort and economy class return flight tickets. They will also be provided with spending money of US$ 2,500 which will be credited to their Visa debit current account.

Visa's latest promotion builds on the company's first global advertising campaign, entitled "More People Go with Visa", which was launched to reflect its evolution into a single global company.

Visa Electron, one of Visa’s debit card products, allows cardholders to spend directly from their current account and allows them to purchase goods via the Internet (using sites recommended by Visa through card verification value – CVV standards). With Visa Electron, cardholders can pay for goods and services at POS (points of sale) terminals in stores. Visa Electron also makes it easy to keep track of all purchases through their monthly bank account statements.
