The only Jordanian company on the list of speakers in a regional roaming conference

Amman, February 2010 – Within its interest to enhance the products and services it offers to all subscribers both in and outside Jordan, Umniah – the fastest growing telecom service provider in Jordan – announced its participation in the MENA Roaming Congress that took place in Dubai with the participation of a number of telecom operators in the region.

The selection of Umniah in the conference as a main speaker in this regional event confirms the advanced position that the company holds in the Jordanian telecom market, and comes as a result of the numerous successes and the strong reputation Umniah was able to build last year, particularly in international roaming services.

Umniah’s participation in the MENA Roaming Congress took place through Mr. Wael Saleh, VAS & Roaming Manager at Umniah, in a presentation entitled “Late Entrants Roaming Strategy”, where he gave a brief overview of the company and the market share it has been able to gain since its establishment. He also discussed the general challenges facing the telecom market in the region, the obstacles facing companies with regards to international roaming services, how to overcome these obstacles, in addition to marketing tools for international roaming services, and how to expand them and present them to subscribers at the best prices so they are available to all. He ended the presentation with a question and answer session that was conducted by other telecom companies participating in the Congress.
