DCC Hands Over Three Buildings During Q1-2010

Dubai, July 2010: Dubai Contracting Company (DCC) is pleased to announce the handover of three new commercial towers in Dubai which were completed in the first quarter of 2010.

Certain to attain landmark status, these high profile towers are:
• O14 – a 22 storey office tower in Business Bay
• Single Business Tower for DIP – a 45 storey office tower on Sheikh Zayed Road
• Code – a 14 storey office tower in Barsha

Many tenants are in the final stages of their office fit-outs, while others have already moved in. Commenting on the delivery of the projects, Mr. Abdallah Yabroudi, CEO of DCC stated: “The completion of these towers is a testament to DCC’s uncompromising commitment to the timely handover of all projects. O14 boasts an award-winning design by architects Reiser+Umemoto of New York. The tower is built with its structure on the outside to offer a new concept of space. O14 has a perforated concrete façade that acts as the structural support of the tower, allowing large open offices spaces internally that are free from obstructing columns.

The 45 storey Single Business Tower for DIP (Dubai Investment Properties LLC) designed by Arkiteknik International is the newest high-rise to grace the Sheikh Zayed Road skyline and is strategically located adjacent to the Emirates/DNATA travel center. Its magnificent views overlook Business Bay to the east and Jumeirah Beach to the west.

Code, designed by local architects dxb-lab, is a true first of its kind in the Barsha area. With clean lines and an emphasis on minimalism, open plans on moderately sized floor plates include full-height glazing on one side and facilities on the other. Code’s design allows occupants to customize their layouts in a unique manner that maximizes their usable space.
